Snowshoeing is easy to learn — the pace and movement correspond to normal hiking.
Snowshoeing is a shared experience that brings the group together and releases positive energy. Trudging slowly creates space for valuable conversations that would never happen in the office. Plus: summit bliss as a shared moment that the team will remember for a long time.
Choose your own tour and your own view. Three of the most beautiful snowshoe areas in the Allgäu — each with its own character and level of difficulty.
Wannenkopf — a wooded mountain in the Hörner group, north of the Riedbergstraße. In winter, it is a rather easy destination for snowshoe tours, ideal for beginner groups.
Riedberger Horn — offers several routes for snowshoe hikes and a perfect view over the Balderschwang Valley towards Vorarlberg/Austria. More demanding, with a summit experience.
Mountain village of Gunzesried — numerous secluded paths and hiking trails off the beaten path, ideal for groups seeking true Allgäu silence.
Wannenkopf is the right choice for mixed groups with varying levels of fitness. Riedberger Horn for sporty, ambitious teams who want the summit panorama. Gunzesried for groups seeking silence with a focus on enjoying nature and conversation.
We meet directly at the parking lot of the discussed tour. After a short introduction, the ICO trainer distributes the equipment: snowshoes and telescopic poles to the participants. After a brief safety briefing, we set off.
Warm winter clothing in layers, preferably waterproof outer clothing (ski wear, Gore-Tex or similar), warm shoes or boots, sunglasses, hat, and gloves. Keep change of clothes ready in the car to change immediately after the tour.
First, leave your tracks in the soft white and enjoy the unique silence. Step by step we go up — through the ups and downs, everyone has the opportunity to test the snowshoes, improve their technique, and become more confident. At the summit: reward picnic, tea, views, conversations. So that you can share the experience later, you will receive unique souvenir photos from us.

No special previous knowledge — snowshoeing is quickly learned, the pace and movement correspond to normal hiking. Basic fitness is an advantage; for mixed groups, we choose tours with little elevation gain (e.g., Wannenkopf), for sporty groups more demanding routes (e.g., Riedberger Horn).
Warm winter clothing in layers, waterproof outer clothing (ski wear or Gore-Tex), sturdy winter shoes or boots, hat, gloves, sunglasses. We provide snowshoes, telescopic poles, and gaiters. Keep change of clothes ready in the car.
The Allgäu ski areas usually offer snow-sure conditions from medium altitudes during the November–April season. Should there be too little snow contrary to expectations, we will talk to you in good time about alternatives — such as a postponement or a change to a higher-altitude tour.
