By alternating between the seminar room and the outdoor setting, we turn methods such as Scrum, Kanban and Design Thinking into hands-on exercises. What works during raft building or the forest challenge can be applied the very next day in the sprint meeting.
At ICO, agile project management does not mean “memorising methods”, but developing an agile mindset. We train when to use which method and how the toggle switch between freedom and process discipline works.
From a 1-day methods impulse to a 3-day intensive training course and a process-accompanying series over several months. Indoors with EmpowerMap®, outdoors with real team challenges. Depending on your goals and the group, we tailor the format individually.
The EmpowerSystem® is our pragmatic framework for agile-stable corporate leadership. EmpowerMap® is the central “high touch — low tech” project management tool — across hierarchies and departments, with transparency at all times.
We run the training at the ICO Center Bihlerdorf in the Allgäu — indoor sessions in the seminar room combined with outdoor exercises in the immediate surroundings. On request, also at your premises as an in-house format.
In the Allgäu, agile-stable challenges meet head-on: whitewater demands adaptation, mountain forest demands clear roles, snowfields demand improvisation. We translate these settings 1:1 into agile methods — sprint planning during raft building, daily stand-up on the forest course.
Alternating between indoor sessions on the EmpowerMap® and outdoor exercises that make agile principles directly tangible — e.g. sprint planning during raft building, daily stand-up on the mountain forest course, retrospective by the campfire.
We meet at the ICO Center Bihlerdorf. We start with an expectations check-in — your topics are clarified before each block. You will receive method handbooks and work tools both in physical form and digitally.
You will travel in your own vehicles. For groups of 20 or more, we can organise transfers and accommodation on request as an agency service.
A short expectations check-in format to get started. Method materials are distributed. The training architecture is made transparent — agile also means an agile learning journey.
Agile project management is generally characterised by lean processes, fast iteration cycles and a focus on short-term goals. The project strategy is aligned with the customer and their needs. Open and direct communication, a learning-by-doing mindset and the principle of transparency are also key elements of day-to-day agile practice.
Discover our complete outdoor module portfolio in the Allgäu — from whitewater and canyoning to igloo building. Each activity has its own character, consistent safety standards, and a clear business transfer. Perfect as a standalone event or as a building block in a multi-day programme.
The meeting point is usually the ICO Center in Bihlerdorf, Im Wasen 16. We organize necessary transfers together with you (shuttle). Exceptions are all activities at ICO Skywalk. Here, the meeting point is the ORLEN Audi Arena Oberstdorf.
Refreshments during breaks (coffee, snacks) are included in the training price. Lunch and dinner can be organised on request at the nearby Allgäuer Berghof or in a self-catering setting.
The trainings take place in all weather conditions. They are conducted with a minimum of 6 participants in total. If this group size is not reached, we reserve the right to offer an alternative date or cancel the booking.
No specific prior knowledge of Scrum, Kanban or Design Thinking is required. We build the methods from the ground up and adapt the depth to your level — from entry-level to advanced modules for experienced Scrum Masters and Product Owners.
