Be strong when it counts — train stress competence practically at the Oberstdorf ski jumps with the 3 mental tools from elite sports.
Stress Competence is designed for executives, project managers, high performers, and teams working under sustained pressure. No prior knowledge required — Peter Tümmers teaches the tools so they work from day one in your professional routine.

The ICO Original Methods Handbook, originally developed for the Olympic preparation of the German National Whitewater Team — contains the 3 stress competence tools (breathing, anchor, self-talk) in detailed methodology.
Skywalk Coordination
Stress is focused energy — the only question is: who’s in control, you or the stress? Peter Tümmers shows you three proven mental tools (the ICO “Anti-Stress First Aid Kit”) that enable you to self-regulate your activation state. Elite athletes from whitewater, ski jumping, speed skating, and Nordic combined have been using these tools for over 30 years — now available for your business. The ICO learning principle: Experience ➡️ Practice ➡️ Insight ➡️ Results.
With targeted breathing techniques, you control adrenaline, blood pressure, and pulse — up or down, as needed. You decide whether to be sharply focused or relaxed with peripheral awareness. Takes effect in under 60 seconds.
Two anchor types to choose from: The excellence anchor brings you instantly into the optimal solution state. The wellbeing anchor keeps you cool and comfortable. "You're practically already at the goal — now you just need to do it."
How we speak to others determines our friendships. How we speak to ourselves determines our inner clarity. Only those at peace with themselves are at peace with others.
What you learn today at the Skywalk works from Monday in meetings, before every presentation, and in every conflict conversation. No lengthy onboarding phase, no theoretical books — direct transfer to everyday life from day 1.
Use the tools of DSV Olympians and whitewater world champions before the decisive moment. Lars Walter: "Without the comprehensive mental support, the performance would not have been possible."
Once learned, usable for a lifetime. These tools grow with you — from the next crisis through every career decision to retirement reflection. Mental skills with lifelong impact, directly from ICO!
Theory and practice in one format. Peter Tümmers begins with an impulse presentation on how the brain works (analytical brain, emotional brain, reptilian brain), transitions to the three mental tools, and immediately translates them into practical aha exercises at the jump. Half-day format: compact 4-hour experience. Full-day format: in-depth 8-hour learning journey with practice in the climbing park.
Breathing (parasympathetic control in 60 seconds) · Anchoring (personal success anchor in 15 minutes) · Self-talk (autosuggestion practice in 30 minutes) — all three immediately ready to use.
• Peter Tümmers personally as trainer
• 3 immediately applicable mental tools
• Theory + practice at the original ski jump
• Half-day or full-day options
• Optional deepening in the climbing park (with full-day format)
Stress Competence is the ICO Skywalk quick-win module for mental sovereignty. Methodologically a compact mental training with elite sports methods, perfectly combinable with other Skywalk modules or as an introduction before the big event “Mental Training at the Skywalk.”
Outdoors at the jump — directly at the original venue of the Four Hills Tournament in the ORLEN Arena Oberstdorf. Theory impulses, aha exercises, and anchor activation take place in the jump setting. With the full-day format, we add practical deepening in the climbing park (ground course for stress testing without height risk, or high rope for self-regulation in real time).
Original venue of the Four Hills Tournament, Erdinger Sportalp as a break location, conference room option in bad weather, and optional jump tour as an add-on.

Stress Competence is the practical translation of two ICO core competencies. What Peter Tümmers teaches in the module has methodological depth in our pillar concepts.
The three stress tools are the first access point to our complete mental training program. Those who find their entry here can deepen their knowledge in the big event “Mental Training at the Skywalk” or in individual coaching sessions.
Stress Competence is simultaneously a coaching tool. Those who master the tools can lead themselves and their team out of pressure situations in real time — the first step toward self-coaching in everyday professional life.
