Where Experience Becomes Sustainable Team Development

Ground, team, or sky course – the ICO Skywalk Oberstdorf offers diverse experiential spaces in which teams are challenged in different ways. Whether close to the ground or at height: The tasks are designed to make both individual strengths and teamwork visible.

Ground Course with Strategy Exercises

Mohawk Walk, Aqua Swing, and Trust Fall at knee height — teams work on strategy, communication, and role clarity. The ideal introduction before the height elements.

Team High Course at 4–12 Meters

Trapeze bridge, Chaplin Walk, and team seesaw require mutual securing on the high rope — genuine trust becomes a learning experience between ground and height.

Sky Course up to 30 Meters Height

Big Flying Fox, Indiana Jones Bridge, and Giant Swing as the emotional highlight. Individual boundary-pushing — secured by the entire team.

Strengthen Self-Competence

With each level of height, you grow beyond your own comfort zone. What still seems easy on the ground becomes a genuine mental achievement at 30 meters — precisely there, personal growth emerges that endures.

Build Trust in the Team

On the high rope, you literally depend on your colleagues. This experience permanently changes team dynamics — mutual appreciation and reliability transform from concept to lived reality.

Memory Anchor That Endures

Those who complete the sky course carry this moment within themselves for a long time. The ICO carabiner as a personal giveaway becomes a symbol of courage, cooperation, and the boundary you overcame together.

You select from a pool of various Skywalk modules to create your entirely personal training model. We are happy to advise you on the optimal composition. At Skywalk, the areas of mental training, resilience, team training, and team building will particularly come into their own.

What are the possibilities at the climbing park?

The high ropes course consists of ground course, team high course, sky course, and ground-air elements such as the energy tree. Each element challenges the team in different ways: strategy on the ground, trust at height, individual boundary-pushing at the energy tree.

  • Exclusive entry to the World Championship Ski Jump Stadium

The climbing park at ICO Skywalk Oberstdorf is the ICO Skywalk signature: high ropes course between the jumps of the Four Hills Tournament. Methodologically, an experiential learning setting for trust, communication, and individual boundary-pushing — optionally half-day or full-day, with or without mental training evaluation.

Where is the climbing park located?

The Skywalk high ropes course is located directly between the 2 large jumps of the ORLEN Arena in Oberstdorf — where the Four Hills Tournament celebrates its opening every year. The traditional ski jump stadium is located directly below the Schattenberg, in the panorama of the Allgäu Alps.

What does the ORLEN Arena offer as a learning space?

The ORLEN Arena Oberstdorf comprises 5 jumps (2 large jumps, 3 youth jumps) and was the venue for the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in 2005 and 2021. The Erdinger Sportalp is available directly in the arena for catering and breaks. The unique atmosphere of the elite sports setting makes the climbing park a learning space that no conventional event location can offer.

Tour of the spectator stands, elevator ride to the high ropes course, safety briefing, ground course to warm up, then team and sky courses — optionally with evaluation session in the conference room with a view of the jumps.

  • 5 jumps including large jump and youth jumps
  • Erdinger Sportalp for catering directly in the arena
  • Conference rooms with panoramic views
  • Jump table tour as an optional extension

How this module methodologically connects to our core competencies

What happens physically at the climbing park works simultaneously mentally and within the team — we also train the methodology behind it systematically outside the Skywalk.

Mental Training & Resilence

Those who can let go at 15 meters height, who activate trust within the team, and who control their own internal pressure — unconsciously use exactly the techniques we train systematically in mental training. The climbing park makes tangible what is otherwise developed in coaching.

Teambuilding & Outdoor

Ground, team, and sky courses are the learning field for communication, role clarity, and mutual securing — all topics that form the methodological framework in team building & outdoor concepts. The climbing park is the most intensive form: Theory becomes tangible reality in 15 minutes.
